Outlier Management

The National CKD Audit Outlier Management policy details the processes by which data on outlier practices are verified and notified.

Practices should note that:

  1. A practice will be notified if their round 1 data indicates they are an outlier.  This will mean they have at least 3 months to undertake local quality improvement to correct this.
  2. Round 1 data is NOT published.
  3. Practices can view their data locally at any time to determine if there are any data quality issues, and the QI tool will help you improve this data.
  4. IF your round 2 data looks like it is an outlier we will follow the procedure detailed in the Outlier Management policy.
